Open Access Policy

Elamena Academic Press is committed to Diamond Open Access — all content published under the EAP imprint is freely accessible online immediately upon publication, at no cost to readers, aligned with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Berlin Declaration.

Any future change to reader access or fee structures will be publicly announced in advance and applied only to new submissions after the effective date.

Journal Publication Fees

Article Processing Charge (APC) policies are determined at the individual journal level and are clearly and transparently stated on each journal's own website. Authors should consult the specific journal's "For Authors" page for current fee information before submission.

Book Publication Terms

Elamena Academic Press publishes scholarly monographs and edited volumes. Book publication terms — including any open access fees, print arrangements, or royalty agreements — are agreed individually with each author or editor prior to contract signing.

Copyright & Licensing

CopyrightAuthors retain full copyright of their published work.
Default LicenceCreative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Allows sharing, adaptation, and commercial use with attribution.
Alternative LicencesCC BY-SA, CC BY-NC, or CC BY-ND may be permitted in exceptional circumstances with prior written agreement.
Third-Party ContentAuthors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for third-party copyrighted material.

Editorial Independence

The editorial independence of Editors-in-Chief and editorial boards is absolute. EAP commits to the following:

Peer Review Standards

RequirementAll research articles must undergo peer review by a minimum of two independent expert reviewers.
ModelsDouble-blind (preferred), single-blind, or open peer review — clearly stated per journal.
IndependenceReviewers must be independent of authors — no recent co-authorship, no institutional overlap.
FeedbackAuthors must receive substantive reviewer feedback regardless of the editorial outcome.

Authorship & AI Policy

Authorship (CRediT)

EAP adopts the CRediT framework and ICMJE authorship criteria. All four conditions must be met for authorship. Gift, ghost, and honorary authorship are prohibited.

Artificial Intelligence

AI tools may be used for permitted purposes. Substantive use must be disclosed. AI systems may not be listed as authors. Authors bear full responsibility for all content.

Advertising & Sponsorship

Elamena Academic Press does not currently carry advertising in any of its publications. Should advertising or sponsorship arrangements be introduced, they will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and will have no influence on editorial decisions. All commercial arrangements will be publicly disclosed.

Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data collected during submission, peer review, and publication is used exclusively for scholarly publishing operations. EAP does not sell or distribute personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. Data is retained only as long as necessary and handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Complaints & Appeals

Editorial AppealsSubmit in writing to the journal's Editor-in-Chief within 30 days of the decision. Include specific scientific justification.
Publisher ComplaintsSubmit in writing to info@elamenapress.org. Acknowledged within 5 business days.
COPE EscalationUnresolved concerns may be escalated to COPE at publicationethics.org.
